you+2026-05-01-example-com@yourdomain.comYour email is stored in your browser only. Never sent anywhere.
How it works
Sub-addressing uses the + symbol supported by most email providers — Gmail, Outlook, ProtonMail, and more.
Install the extension
Add the extension from the Chrome Web Store. On first launch, enter your real email address in the settings page.
Visit any website
Click the extension icon on any page. It automatically reads the current hostname and today's date.
Copy or insert the sub-address
The extension generates a unique sub-address. Copy it to clipboard or click "Insert" to fill the focused email field directly.
Filter and organise your inbox
Use your email client's filtering rules to automatically label, folder, or block emails by sub-address.

Why use sub-addressing?
Most people use the same email address everywhere. Sub-addressing gives you control — one inbox, infinite unique variants.
Know exactly where your email was shared
Each sub-address is tied to a specific website and date. If you start receiving spam at user+2026-05-01-shoppingsite-com@domain.com, you know exactly where it came from.
Effortless inbox filtering
Create rules in Gmail, Outlook, or ProtonMail to automatically label or organise emails by sub-address. No more manual sorting.
Easy blocking if an address leaks
If a sub-address starts receiving unwanted emails, block it without affecting your main inbox or creating a new email account.
No accounts. No subscriptions.
Everything runs in your browser. There's no sign-up, no server, no SaaS. Your base email never leaves your device.

Frequently asked questions
Does sub-addressing work with my email provider?
Sub-addressing using the + symbol is supported by Gmail, Outlook, ProtonMail, Fastmail, Hey, and most modern email providers. A small number of older providers or services may not support it — the extension's generated address will still be valid, but some services may reject addresses containing +.
Will using a sub-address prevent spam?
Sub-addressing doesn't prevent spam on its own, but it helps you identify where an address was used and makes filtering much easier. If a sub-address starts receiving unwanted email, you can create a rule to automatically delete or archive it.
Is my base email address safe?
Yes. Your base email is stored using Chrome's built-in sync storage — it lives in your browser profile and is never transmitted to any server by this extension. The sub-addresses generated are based on the hostname and date; they're computed locally and not recorded anywhere.
Can I use this with Gmail?
Yes. Gmail natively supports sub-addressing. Emails sent to you+tag@gmail.com arrive in the same inbox as you@gmail.com. You can create filters in Gmail using the "To" field to organise them.
What if a website doesn't accept + in email addresses?
Some websites incorrectly reject valid email addresses containing the + character. In that case, you'll need to use your base email address directly. The extension won't cause any issues — simply don't use the generated address for that site.
Do I need to create a new email account?
No. Sub-addressing works with your existing email address. All emails sent to any sub-address arrive in your main inbox (or a folder if you set up filters). No new accounts are needed.
